How it works

Your travel eSIM, step by step

Choose your plan, check your phone and follow the installation instructions. Here’s how to get ready for your trip.
  1. Choose coverage and a plan

Find your destination and compare data, validity and total price. Check the included countries, hotspot allowance and plan start condition.

  2. Check your phone

Choose the exact phone you’ll take and check its eSIM support. Your phone also needs to be unlocked for other networks.

  3. Install at the right time

When your eSIM is ready, follow the instructions in your order or email. Use the install link, scan the QR code from another screen or enter the details manually.

  4. Connect after landing

Turn on your Alaveno line, select it for mobile data and enable data roaming for that line. Follow your installation guide to connect to a supported local network.

If it does not connect

Check your connection settings

If your eSIM is installed but you cannot get online, start with the settings below. Your installation instructions also explain any APN settings you need.

Open the connection guide
  1. Turn on roaming for your eSIM

Turn on data roaming for your Alaveno line. Keep it off for your usual SIM; your home carrier may still charge for calls and texts.

  2. Choose Alaveno for mobile data

In your phone’s mobile data settings, select the Alaveno line. On a dual-SIM phone, an active line is not necessarily the one being used for data.

  3. Contact support

Contact support with your order reference and the last step you completed. Keep the eSIM installed while we check: many eSIMs cannot be installed again after deletion. Please contact us before buying the same plan again.

Plan activation

Check when your plan begins

Depending on your plan, the validity period begins at purchase, installation or your first connection to a supported network. Check your plan’s start condition before buying or installing.
